Where to place Adverbs of Frecuency

·         Adverbs of frequency are put directly before the main verb.


·         The following list shows the most common adverbs of frequency, with the one that refers to things that happen most often at the top, and least often at the bottom:

    • Always
    • Usually
    • Frequently
    • Often
    • Sometimes
    • Occasionally
    • Rarely
    • Seldom
    • Hardly ever
    • Never

I often go skiing in February.
He doesn't always win.
We are rarely at home at the weekend.
We have never done such a thing.

Instructions:  Place the adverb of frecuency in the correct place.

1.    You are ready to help when I need you. (usually)
2.    Her sister practices her piano in the morning. (always)
3.    My parents book their holiday in January. (usually)
4.    He thinks that we have got enough time. (probably)
5.    They are going to study biology. (probably)
6.    You should think twice when you give advice. (always)
7.    I will be able to see you after school. (probably)
8.    Does he read a magazine each week ? (usually)
9.    She has cooked a meal for twenty people. (never)
10. Your friend will be angry. (certainly)
11. Something must be done. (definitely)
